American election watchdogs have filed complaints about fundraising emails purporting to be from the Donald Trump campaign that were apparently sent to politicians around the globe, including Canadian MPs. A handful of Canadian MPs contacted by the Star confirmed they have received emails to their public accounts that appear to be fundraising efforts from the U.S. presidential candidate’s campaign.
