Bhupinderpal Gill and Gurpreet Ronald have both been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jagtar Gill. The estranged husband of a woman charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jagtar Gill told an Ottawa court Thursday his wife tried to stab him on four different occasions. Gurpreet Ronald and 41-year-old Bhupinderpal Gill, Jagtar Gill's husband, have both pleaded not guilty of first-degree murder in the death of the 43-year-old mother of three. DNA tests later revealed the blood on the knife belonged to both Gurpreet Ronald and Jagtar Gill. Jason Ronald testified that 37-year-old Gurpreet Ronald allegedly threatened him with a knife during arguments over money, his infidelity, and their planned separation.
