Preston North End have signed Portsmouth forward Callum Lang for a "club record" undisclosed fee on a three-and-a-half-year deal. The 27-year-old scored 16 goals for Pompey in 53 appearances after joining from Wigan Athletic in January 2024. Lang joins Preston having scored twice for Portsmouth during an injury-hit season that has limited him to just eight appearances. He could make his North End debut against Pompey on Saturday.
