A PROPOSAL from the sister of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un for a summit with South Korea has rekindled hopes of finally bringing peace to the divided peninsula. But Kim Jong-un traditionally uses the assembly as a stage to make important declarations. So, speculation is rife that he might officially announce Pyongyang's peace initiative. Kim Jong-un has also reiterated that his country's close ties with China will further grow against "vicious challenges and obstruction by the hostile forces." The price of peace and reunification will be high, but for the Korean people, the gains will be worth it.
