more-inHYDERABAD: The country needs to fill in huge gaps in agriculture and industrial production as it is determined to win the global technology race, well-known scientist and NITI Aayog member VK Saraswat said. The scientist delivered the 19 Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Foundation Day lecture on Monday and drew a parallel between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former President APJ Abdul Kalam and said that both believe in road to innovation. The progress of the country could not be just left to borrowing technology and instead, develop our technologies which would lead to creation of wealth. Mr. Saraswath also said that India could make progress in the field of defence technologies in spite of restrictions from the US because it showed demonstrated an unbending will.
