Call The Midwife viewers were left appalled by a 'distressing' new storyline that showed scenes of child abuse, as a father wreaked havoc on his family. Viewers at home were left in shock by the scenes, and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about the 'distressing' scenes shown on screen. Doing the rounds at the event, Sister Catherine soon found a mum-to-be suffering from hyperemesis - a severe form of pregnancy sickness. It comes after a Call The Midwife star has been totally transformed with a brand new look for her role in BBC period drama The Other Bennet Sister. The new drama tells the iconic story from the perspective of Mary Bennet, instead of drawing focus on Elizabeth Bennet and her love interest Mr. Darcy.
