Caidic turns back time, powers San Miguel to victorySAN Miguel Beer’s all-time great Allan Caidic fired a game-high 26 points, highlighted by six three-point bombs, to help the Beermen beat Alaska, 96-86, in the Philippine Basketball Association’s Return of the Rivals at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday. Dennis Miranda had 17 points while Danny Ildefonso posted 14 points and 14 rebounds and Dondon Hontiveros contributed 11 points also for the Beermen. Nic Belasco added 18 rebounds for San Miguel Beer. Willie Miller led Alaska with 20 points while 1996 MVP Johnny Abarrientos had 11 points and 10 rebounds. San Miguel Beer bagged P100,000 for winning the game while Caidic received P25,000 for his individual performance.
