A Richmond Hill café owner was called “a standup guy” in court Monday after entering a guilty plea to drug trafficking charges that saw one of his co-accused walk free. Justice Alan Cooper gave Scolieri four months credit for time already served, noting he has been in custody since his November arrest. Scolieri smiled at his friend, Nicholas Valentine, of Vaughan, after charges were dropped against Valentine. Valentine sat in the body of the court with Scolieri’s parents and girlfriend.
