Tawhid Ilahi, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Cabinet Division, filed the complaint to the Election Commission secretary on Monday demanding action against MP Nixon Chowdhury, Upazila Chairman Mohammad Kauser and their supporters over the violation. He made the threat at a victory rally held in front of Charbhadrasan Upazila Awami League office after Awami League candidate Md Kawsar Hossain was elected chairman of Charbhadrasan upazila. Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Atul Sarkar is also the assistant commissioner (land) of the district. Talking to Dhaka Tribune on Monday night, Election Commissioner Kabita Khanam said: "We have received the complaint from the Faridpur DC against the Faridpur 4 MP.
