The 54th annual Gage County CROP Walk is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at the east edge of Hannibal Park. The walk supports the mission of Church World Service as a response to hunger and poverty. Noel Ditmars said CROP started many years ago in the community. “I think it’s interesting that when CROP started it wasn’t just money,” he said. “The six-mile round trip walk represents the distance many people walk each day to find food and water,” Riedesel noted.
