Share TweetBy Leslie Ann AquinoThe Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has accredited the National Citizens Movement For Free Elections (Namfrel) as its citizens’ arm in the May 13 midterm polls. 19-0351 dated March 29, the COMELEC En Banc resolved to accredit NAMFREL as one of its citizens’ arm for the forthcoming elections. NAMFREL will mobilize some 50,000 volunteers to monitor the election activities in 85,768 clustered precincts on Election Day. Last January, the poll body also accredited the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting as citizens’ arm.
