Washington (CNN) About three-quarters of Americans (77%) approve of President Donald Trump's decision to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. Trump's approval rating for handling the situation with North Korea has jumped 10 points since late March. Overall, 53% approve of Trump's handling of North Korea, and 35% disapprove. Approval of Trump's decision to meet with Kim has climbed 15 points since a late March poll, not long after the decision for the two leaders to meet was announced. The findings come as CNN reports that Trump administration officials have been instructed to move forward with plans for the summit to convene in Singapore.
