On Saturday, the ‘Silver Gate’ made a comeback as an entrance to a new patient facility at the hospital. The hospital authorities, while launching a private patient facility centre, have also restored CMC’s original entrance by re-creating the motif of ‘Silver Gate’ at the entrance to the centre. The private patient facility has been set up to de-congest the OPD, which till now was visited both by general and private patients. “We have created the motif of the ‘Silver Gate’ at the entrance to the new facility to connect us to our heritage,” he added. The original ‘Silver Gate’ can now be seen at the side entrance to the main block.
