NEW DELHI: The cybercrime units of Delhi Police and Central Industrial Security Force are on their toes: several CISF personnel have lost their salaries to hackers who managed to take control of either their salary account or their debit cards, sources told TOI. The salary was credited into the accounts by the CISF on July 31 and was withdrawn through multiple ATM transactions immediately, a source said. Cops suspect this could be a case of ATM card cloning. "We have alerted CISF staff to be careful and have also initiated an awareness drive to educate the personnel about cyber safety ," he said. According to investigators, once the card is swiped onto the skimmer, it records details like card number, name and CVV number.
