DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s appointment as colonel in the Army reserve force has been approved in the committee level of the Commission on Appointments (CA). The CA on Wednesday tackled the ad interim appointments and nominations of 22 senior regular and reserve officers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines, including that of President Rodrigo Duterte’s daughter. “May I ask why the President, your father, repeatedly says…he’s afraid of you?” the senator inquired. And, admittedly, initially I did not support his intention to run for president, but belatedly I did,” she continued. She added, “I just feel like a beauty queen, not a soldier,” which elicited laughter in the room.
