By the numbers: The Government's crunchiest carbon-cutting policies


ANALYSIS: Subsidising EVs tends to make headlines, but the policies expected to save the most greenhouse gas over the next four years could be those you've never heard of. The Government’s Emissions Reduction Plan contains a list of policies it has or will introduce between now and 2025. The ETS is one of the country’s longest-established – if least-known – climate change policies. From 2025, farmers are expected to pay a levy on the greenhouse gas they produce, with rebates possible if they use emissions-cutting behaviours or technologies.
