NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 1.19 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.Shares of SAIL (number of shares traded: 1.02 crore) , YES Bank (number of shares traded: 1.00 crore) , Sintex Inds. (number of shares traded: 0.67 crore) , Reliance Capital (number of shares traded: 0.61 crore) , Reliance Power (number of shares traded:number of shares traded:58 crore) , JSPL (Rs 0.49 crore) , Dish TV India (number of shares traded: 0.44 crore) , Reliance Infra (number of shares traded: 0.43 crore) and JP Associates (number of shares traded: 0.42 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE. Tata Steel (Rs 150.34 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.It was followed by RIL (Rs 112.43 crore) , Zee Ent. (Rs 84.67 crore) , JSPL (Rs 83.89 crore) , Titan Company (Rs 76.00 crore) , Tata Motors (Rs 73.01 crore) , JSW Steel (Rs Rs Rs crore) , SBI (Rs 61.63 crore) , TCS (Rs 55.43 crore) and Sun TV (Rs 54.29 crore).The NSE Nifty index was trading 41.05 points up at 12,223.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 148.51 points at 41,454.53 around 09:35 am.In the Nifty index, JSW Steel (up 2.50 per cent) , Tata Steel (up 1.99 per cent) , Hindalco Industries (up 1.66 per cent) , UltraTech Cement (up 1.02 per cent) and Vedanta (up 0.94 per cent) were among the top gainers.While Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 2.30 per cent) , Titan Company (down 0.84 per cent) , Coal India (down 0.83 per cent) , Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0.54 per cent) and NTPC (down 0.41 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
