Volunteer Trish Andrews uses plenty of elbow grease to scrub out tagging - and at latest count - she has removed 700 separate examples of graffiti in Timaru. Known as Timaru's Community Patrol graffiti co-ordinator, Andrews recently presented a summary of her work to the Timaru District Council's safer communities committee which included 96 patrols since the project was established in November 2016. Andrews said tagging was an ongoing problem with new tag names recently turning up in the Gleniti and Highfield areas.
