Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed has announced that business people will be rewarded if they keep prices of the essential commodities within reach of common people during Ramadan. He made the statement during a meeting held at the Secretariat Sunday afternoon. On the other hand, the business leaders urged the government to launch drives to check the prices of commodities during Ramadan as there is ample supply of essential. Both the government and the supplier ensured that there were enough stocks of essential commodities and the prices would not go up. Earlier on April 27, minister Tofail had said prices of imported essential commodities such as edible oil may increase due to hike of US dollar ahead of Ramadan.
