Businessman remanded five days, CEO's remand extended over Gatco probe


PUTRAJAYA: A businessman was remanded for five days to facilitate the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) probe into a land scam involving Great Alonioners Trading Corp (Gatco) land sale in Jempol, Negri Sembilan. Magistrate Azizah Ahmad granted the remand order which ends on Oct 2. Meanwhile, the remand order of two chief executive officers of two different companies who were held to assist in the Gatco land scam probe has been extended for four days. The remand order of the two Datuks who are brothers aged 50 and 54 which took effect on Sept 26, ended today. A report was lodged by the Gatco Settlers Action Committee with MACC.
