MIRI: The Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK) Sarawak has warned businesses against using subsidised cooking oil meant for household use for their operations. The ministry conducted a raid called Ops Goreng on a seafood business premises that had been storing and using subsidised cooking oil for their business. “This is a warning to all business owners to not use subsidised cooking oil for their businesses as it will affect the stock available for household use. “The ministry will investigate the source of supply, whether it is from the wholesale and retail sellers who have struck deals to supply subsidised oil to businesses. “Ops Goreng will continue to be carried out in order to stabilise the supply of subsidised oil in the market,” he said.
