MELAKA: A bus ticket salesman was charged at the sessions court here today with sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy in the toilet of a bus terminal here last August. Muhammad Amin Abd Kadir, 19, pleaded not guilty to the charge read to him before judge Norma Ismail. Muhammad Amin is alleged to have committed physical sexual assault on the boy in a men’s restroom at Zon B of Melaka Sentral at about 4pm. Counsel Sheikh Ikhzan Sheikh Salleh, who represented the accused, sought for a low bail amount, as his client is suffering from mental issues. She also ordered the accused to be sent to the Permai Hospital in Johor for a month to undergo mental observation.
