Emergency services including Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service attended a road traffic collision at around 3.30pm today, September 30, on Heywood Street in Bury. Firefighters from Bury Fire Station attended the scene after responding to a police request. Residents in the area said a cordon was in place and firefighters were in attendance for around 25 minutes. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 3.26pm on Saturday, September 30, firefighters from Bury fire station responded to a police request for support at the scene of a road traffic collision between two vehicles on Heywood Street in Bury. “Firefighters made the scene safe and left the incident after approximately 25 minutes.
