Kiwi fast food company Burger Fuel Group has closed its last remaining store in Iraq's capital Baghdad, immediately after Iran attacked two airbases in the country on Wednesday. "Whilst Iraq did experience a period of stability a few years ago and two Burger Fuel restaurants were operating at one point, the situation in Iraq has progressively worsened," Burger Fuel said. Hamilton Hindin Greene investment adviser Mark Hampton said Burger Fuel exiting Iraq was a "wise decision". KENT BLECHYNDEN/STUFF Burger Fuel says the Iraq store closure will not materially affect the group's earnings. Burger Fuel posted a $1.2 million profit after tax for the year ended March 2019.
