Bungoma lawyers take part in demo against killings

Services at the Bungoma law courts were on Monday disrupted for a day after lawyers staged a boycott. The lawyers refused to attend to their clients and participated in a peaceful demonstration, marching towards Bungoma police station. Kituyi said they will continue disrupting services at the law courts for a week until lawyers are assured of their security. West Kenya Chapter LSK chairman Andrew Kituyi and his Bungoma counterpart Amos Makokha took part in the demonstration, disrupting transport and business. Kituyi urged the police to stop extrajudicial killings targeting lawyers.
