Bumrah, Sran, Kulkarni help India restrict Zimbabwe to 168 in 1st ODI

Jasprit Bumrah’s four wickets led the way as India bowled Zimbabwe out for 168 in the first one-day international ()ODI at Harare Sports Club on Saturday. Patel and Chahal picked up a wicket apiece and conceded just 53 runs in their combined 20 overs as Zimbabwe limped along. Bumrah recorded figures of four for 28 in 9.5 overs as the Zimbabweans were bowled out in 49.5 overs after India won the toss and elected to bowl first. With the hosts reduced to 69 for four in the 20th over, spinners Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal, making his ODI debut, were able to strangle Zimbabwe through the middle overs. Top scorer Elton Chigumbura attempted to lift them to a respectable score with a late flourish, but was eventually bowled by Bumrah for 41 in the final over of the innings.
