Traders said sentiment was muted largely in tune with a weak trend overseas and considerable fall in demand from local jewellers and retailers at domestic spot markets. Globally, gold ended the week lower at USD 1,284.20 an ounce and silver at USD 16.94 an ounce in New York. Later, it bounced back to close at Rs 29,950 and Rs 29,800 per 10 grams, still showing a fall of Rs 100 each.
