The Ministry of Education (MOE) continues to receive the largest allocation of RM64.1 billion in the 2020 Budget compared to RM60.2 billion in 2019. The Health Ministry has also been allocated RM30.6 billion. Unfortunately, there's no allocation for mental health development such as community psychiatric rehabilitation centres. The ministry must also provide allocation for mental health first aid training fo teachers, employers and parents apart from supporting mental health NGOs. More programmes must also be held at hospitals, schools and other premises to help increase awareness on mental health.
