Joshua Buatsi guaranteed Britain their first medal in the ring as he was an overwhelming points winner against Abdelhafid Benchabla, of Algeria, in their light-heavyweight quarter-final. Buatsi has been a revelation, winning his opening two bouts by stoppage. That included his win in the second round over Elshod Rasulov, the No 3 seed from Uzbekistan.
