Two hotels in Gwynedd made the list including The Bryntirion Inn near Bala, Gwynedd; Penmaenuchaf in Dolgellau. After a top-to-bottom renovation, the 300-year-old The Bryntirion Inn reopened last year, but only fully relaunched in January 2026. Luke and Bryntirion Head Chef Ethan Cleary are also overseeing the Bryntirion Inn, the on-estate pub with rooms. Owned by Neil and Zoe Kedward since 2022, the hotel’s 14 country-house-style rooms have been reworked by the designer Nicola Harding. Head Chef, Dan Andree, is focused on creating menus with high-quality ingredients, that are as "local as possible".
