FRAMINGHAM — Jared and Josh Grigg spend their career helping others as Framingham firefighters/EMTs, but for the last eight months they’ve been helping keep people safe in another way. The brothers were activated as part of the National Guard and helped with COVID-19 relief efforts throughout the state. Jared Grigg, 32, is a staff sergeant with the National Guard, and has now returned to his duties as a firefighter. Josh Grigg, 30, a sergeant, remains active with the National Guard for a few more weeks before returning to work. “We certainly missed having them here part of our team, but we knew their mission with the National Guard was similar to our mission here — being in service to people of need,” said Dutcher.
