BRITS are set to swelter in a 27C scorcher as the Saharan bubble heatwaves stretches on into July. Forecasters are expecting temperatures to remain in the high 20s for the rest of the week - before a cold front sweeps in for next week. The UK had previously baked last week with the arrival of the Saharan Bubble heatwave with temperatures peaking at 35C. Brits made the most of the sun by firing up BBQs - while others headed to the beach and gathered in beer gardens. The Scottish thunderstorms also left the country cooler at the start of July than it was at the end of June.
