The early May Bank Holiday in 2020 has been changed from Monday, May 4, to Friday, May 8, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE day. However the switch was only announced in June, after many diaries and calendars were already printed, leading to millions showing the incorrect date for the bank holiday, as reported by The Sun . It's been reported that many UK printers decided to keep the botched 2020 products rather than face a huge bill to have them reprinted, although some have made the change. Others who may have already made plans before the change was announced have hit out, with one writing: "Irresponsible government cancels May 4th 2020 bank holiday in poorly thought out publicity stunt.
