The man, said to be in his 50s, told security guards and passers-by that he was going to jump after he scaled a 1.5 metre high barrier and dangerously held onto the railings. A store employee and a witness told Coconuts Bangkok that they saw the man climbing the barrier and rushed over to try and stop him. But the man let go of his railings and landed on the ground floor next to the escalators in front of shocked shoppers. According to Pattaya News, this is not the first time a tourist has committed suicide at the prominent mall. Three years ago, a 71-year-old French man also jumped to his death from the sixth floor of the mall.
