Dorries is self-isolating at home PA Images via Getty ImagesTopline: A British health minister is the first U.K. lawmaker to test positive for Covid-19, and reportedly displayed symptoms on the same day that she attended a Downing Street event hosted by Prime Minister Boris Johnson last week. Nadine Dorries is the first U.K. lawmaker to be diagnosed with the virus, and had been displaying symptoms last Thursday, according to the Department of Health. Public Health England appears to be advising those who have come into contact with Dorries over the past few days, to self-isolate. One lawmaker tweeted that she does not have symptoms of the pneumonia-like virus but is self-isolating after she was in a meeting with Dorries recently. In numbers: More than 114,000 people have been infected with coronavirus globally to date, while more than 4,000 people have died.
