Britain Doesn't Have To Pay The Brexit Bill Say Peers In House Of Lords


The House of Lords insists that Britain is under no legal compulsion to pay up that €60 billion the continentals are demanding as a result of Brexit. Obviously, things are going to be a lot smoother if an agreement is reached but that fact remains, that there's no necessity in law to pay. Britain is the second largest net contributor to the EU budget and our leaving is already causing a hole in their plans. And if we leave without picking up this exit bill then they're in a worse position again. Our not legally having to pay it should concentrate some minds.
