The budget for the Environmental Protection Agency could reportedly be reduced by roughly 25 percent, costing the agency about 3,000 jobs. The Associated Press reportedly obtained a copy of a draft of the EPA’s budget proposal from the Office of management and Budget. Former EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy called the proposed budget "a fantasy" that ignores the EPA's mission to protect public health. The draft proposal for the EPA would cut its annual budget from about $8.2 billion to $6.1 billion. Under the Trump proposal, it would get only $10 million.
