Two young brothers have been awarded $920,000 by one of the largest public health districts in the country after their mother died from a brain seizure. Her partner Chris Percy filed a claim of loss of dependency against the Metro North Hospital and Health Service - Queensland's largest public health district. Ms Brooks was born in Chester, in England, and moved to Queensland in 2008. Ms Brooks and her father Roger then launched organic baby clothing business Baby Baumbach in 2014. Her sudden death sent shockwaves throughout the community who remembered Ms Brooks as an avid traveller and poet.
