Justin TongA bridge at the center of violent confrontations between police and protesters at the Chinese University in November has reopened. The university also announced all operations will resume gradually starting from Monday because of the stabilized pandemic situation. Metal fencing and stone pillars four meters high have been installed on the two sides of the bridge. Pedestrians can enter and leave campus via the bridge, but vehicle traffic has been reduced to one-lane only - only driving in is allowed. It and the bridge were battlegrounds for police and protesters during a five-day lockdown.
