Infrastructure and capital expenditure of the national government in February fell to P45.6 billion, pulling down the tally for the first two months of 2020, data from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) showed on Tuesday. In its latest disbursement report, the DBM said the amount was a 9.3-percent decrease from P50.3 billion in February 2019. It was also smaller than the P48.3 billion spent in January this year. The latest figure dragged year-to-date spending to P93.9 billion, down 20.7 percent from P118.4 billion a year earlier. These PY APs for the first two months of 2020 amounted to P35.2 billion, down from P82.2 billion in the same period last year.
