Brexit talks resumed this morning after a midnight deadline set by the EU passed without event last night. Following a day of intense negotiations, sources in both Brussels and London said the details of a possible deal were 'within sight'. If there is no Brexit deal by this date Remainer legislation obliges the PM to beg the EU for an extension to avoid No Deal. The so-called Irish border backstop is one of the most controversial parts of the existing Brexit deal.
