Brave polo pony stands its ground until help arrivesDAVID WHITEFAIRFAX NZ Currie and Hill are very relieved Lottie is safe. The two polo ponies had been swept about 2km downstream after torrential rain unleased on the south Auckland suburb of Clevedon on Tuesday night. However when Currie and her flatmate Crystal Hall spotted Lottie standing very still, "a long way out", Voice wasn't there. Voice is still missing but Currie takes hope from the fact she was last seen swimming to higher ground. The "very special" bay mare gave "many many years" as a polo pony and was living out her retirement in the company of other polo ponies.
