Map of Brahmanbaria Dhaka TribuneOn October 4, six cases were filed with a Brahmanbaria court against four people including former UP Chairman Hossain MiahSix cases have been filed against a former union parishad chairman of Sadar upazila for embezzling money through forgery, in the name of providing gas connections to customers. Hossain Mia, was elected chairman of Natai Dakhshin Union Parishad several times. According to court sources, the cases were filed with Brahmanbaria Chief Judicial Magistrate court on October 4 against four people including Hossain Miah. The other accused in the cases are Shamim Mia, son of late Abdul Quddus, Farid Mia, son of Kalam Uddin and Mohammad Sohel Mia, son of Hossain Mia. Following the plaintiffs’ allegations, the court took cognizance of the cases and directed the Brahmanbaria Sadar Model police station to investigate the matter.
