Sergeant Graeme Evans, of Dunedin road policing, said a fleet of 10 new blue patrol cars was being introduced throughout New Zealand. Recent highway patrol vehicle colours have been maroon, orange and red, in addition to the traditional white. Sgt Evans said the blue cars added a bit of variety to the fleet ``much the same way as the red and orange marked highway cars do''.
