The police gave the name of the deceased as Yashawanth (12), a class six student of Government Higher Primary School, Bethamangala. Yashawanth returned from school on Tuesday evening and went out for playing. They found his body in the farm pond at nearby Byatarayanahalli village. Police suspect he slipped into the pond while playing.
