A 16-year-old boy is in police custody in Nyamira after he confessed to killing his younger brother aged 14 following a dispute over land in Kebirigo, Nyamira county. County Commander of Police Catherine Mugwe said the two blood brothers differed on Friday over a piece of land before the suspect attacked the deceased with a jembe. The suspect, a Standard Eight pupil at a local primary school is reported to have hit the deceased on the back of his head using a hand hoe, killing him instantly. He proceeded to plant the grass within the vegetables, something which did not please the brother leading to a heated exchange," Mugwe said.
