Doctor Strange earned $13.4 million (-24%) over the Fri-Sun weekend for a new $205m domestic total. The very good Focus Features release now has a $4m domestic total as it slowly expands in the hopes of riding a year-end awards wave. The Barry Jenkins drama has now earned a superb $8.6m domestic cume. The Accountant earned another $1 million (-51%) in its seventh weekend for a new $83.2m domestic total. Nocturnal Animals, which is intriguing but isn’t exactly a crowd-pleaser, earned $816k (+65%) in 313 theaters for a new $1.669m domestic cume.
