Walt DisneyIn a quick Avengers: Endgame update, the MCU epic earned $7.8 million in its sixth weekend of release. Nonetheless, if it continues to play like Avengers: Infinity War and Captain America: Civil War at the end of this post-Memorial Day weekend, we’re looking at an $855 million-to-$860 million domestic finish. In terms of inflation, it has now sold more tickets than Star Wars – Episode One: The Phantom Menace. The Star Wars prequel earned $431 million in 1999 (from a $105 million Wed-Sun launch) and then another $43 million via its 2012 3-D reissue for a $474 million total. Adjusted for inflation, that would be around $813 million in total, so Avengers 4 is now 18th place on the adjusted-grossers list.
