Bola Bamigbola, OsogboThe management of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, on Tuesday, kept mum on the identities of two workers of the institution abducted in Idominasi, in the Obokun Local Government Area of the state. The two men were reportedly abducted by gunmen on Monday around 4.30pm on their way to Osogbo. The gunmen also shot another employee of the institution, while one other escaped unhurt. Reliable security sources, who spoke to PUNCH Metro, said the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Ige, led the rescue operation that lasted several hours, as police operatives combed forests in the area. In a telephone conversation with our correspondent, the Registrar, Bowen University, Dr Kayode Ogunleye, promised to speak to journalists after receiving clearance from the Vice-Chancellor on whether to reveal the identities of the abducted workers or not.
