He added that the process witnessed increased demand for bookings on weekends and holidays during the 31-day long season. The trekkers will depart from the Bonacaud forest station by around 8 a.m. on each day to reach the base camp at Athirumala by evening. The travellers will be able to return to the base station by afternoon. Slow trekkers will be able to stay at the base camp for another night before returning to Bonacaud.
